iFolder synchronization is a simple and secure storage solution that can increase your company's productivity by enabling employees to back up, access and manage their company files from anywhere, at any time. Once Digital 1 has installed the iFolder software on your company's desktops, laptops or server, employees simply save files locally- as they have always done- and iFolder automatically updates the files on a Digital 1's iFolder server.
How does it all work?
Keeping your files sync'd up is easy with Digital 1's iFolder solution. You simply save files locally and your iFolder directory appears after iFolder software has been installed. Then, when you make changes to a file, those changes are automatically and intelligently updated to the Digital iFolder server through your Internet connection. This means that you're always working on the most recent version of any document.
iFolder files are synchronized in the background with no intervention from the user. As new files are added to the local iFolder, the files are transferred to and from the Digital 1 iFolder server. Incremental files changes are detected intelligently, only the modified file portions are transferred to and from the Digital 1 iFolder server which saves network bandwidth and server disk access. Employees can synchronize their files at any time. They can also invite other iFolder users to share their files in the same safe and secure way so that your teams always have the most relevant copy of a document.
